At 5:54 p.m., officers in Berkeley Township responded to Veterans Boulevard and Eastern Boulevard and discovered the 17-year-old's red PT cruiser was struck by an Accurate Towing flatbed truck, Berkeley Township police said.

The girl unsafely entered the intersection, which was controlled by the intersection, before she was struck by the tow truck, police said.

The girl was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center and a juvenile passenger was transported by ambulance to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, police said. The driver and passenger are in stable condition, police said.
